Rebecca Geyer, MSN, RN, TCRN, joined PTSF on May 10, 2021, as the new Director of Performance Improvement. Prior to joining PTSF, Rebecca served as a trauma nurse in Ohio in a variety of roles including Performance Improvement and Injury Prevention. Additional experience included working as a charge nurse in an adult Level 1 trauma center ICU, charge nurse in a Level 3 trauma center emergency department and ICU, and as a midlevel manager at a pediatric trauma center. Rebecca has a passion for education and is looking forward to using her master’s degree and Lean Six Sigma green belt Performance Improvement training to support our trauma centers and hospitals seeking accreditation. Professionally Rebecca serves on the TCRN exam construction review committee with the Board of Certification of Emergency Nursing and is a peer-review editor for the Journal of Trauma Nursing. Rebecca has several publications to her credit, including topics covering process improvement, trauma nurse leadership and injury prevention research.
