PTSF is pleased to welcome Michael Prasto, MD, to the Board of Directors, nominated by the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) and approved by the Executive Committee. Dr. Prasto fills the seat vacated by Dr. Richard Neff.
Dr. Prasto currently serves as Network Chair of Emergency Medicine for St. Luke’s University Health Network, where he provides physician leadership for 12 emergency departments caring for nearly 400,000 patients annually and two Emergency Medicine residency programs.
Dr. Prasto is a physician executive with more than fifteen years of experience spanning emergency medicine, health system operations, quality and safety, and physician governance. He previously served as Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Grand View Health, where he led the clinical planning and opening of a Level II Trauma Center and helped guide the health system through its affiliation with St. Luke’s. He also previously chaired the Department of Emergency Medicine at Grand View.
Dr. Prasto is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He earned his M.D. from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at Temple University Hospital. He also holds an Executive MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
