Blake Bailey, DO, MBA, FACEP

Dr. Blake Bailey is the Vice Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Reading Hospital — Tower Health.  In his role as Vice Chair, Dr. Bailey oversees department operations, including the emergency department mental health unit, stroke care, sepsis care, and trauma operations. 

In addition to his administrative duties, Dr. Bailey is heavily involved in medical education and the Reading Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency program, previously in the role of Assistant Program Director, he continues to educate residents and students as residency core faculty and Assistant Professor at the Drexel University College of Medicine.  Dr. Bailey serves on several hospital and network committees including Tower Health Network Credentialing Committee, Reading Hospital Critical Care Committee, Reading Hospital Sepsis Committee, Committee for Professional Enhancement, Stroke Quality Committee, Trauma Peer Review Committee, and Emergency Medicine Residency Clinical Competency Committee.

Dr. Bailey is active in the Pennsylvania College of Emergency Physicians, currently as Vice President, and President-Elect in April 2025.  On a national level he is a member of the Emergency Medicine Practice Committee of the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Dr. Bailey was born in Reading, Pennsylvania.  He graduated from the University of Richmond and earned his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania.  Dr. Bailey is board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.  He has also obtained his master’s in business administration from Saint Joseph’s University.

Dr. Bailey represents the Pennsylvania College of Emergency Physicians on the PTSF Board of Directors.
