UPMC Williamsport is an accredited Adult Level II Trauma Center that services a 2,500 square mile region in north central Pennsylvania. Founded in 1873, UPMC Williamsport is a 224-bed hospital that offers complete inpatient, outpatient, and comprehensive surgical care.  UPMC Williamsport has more than 6,000 employees, including over 700 physicians and advanced practice professionals, and provides healthcare services to over 700,000 residents.

UPMC Williamsport is the tertiary referral center for several of the community hospitals within our region to include UPMC Muncy, UPMC Lock Haven, UPMC Wellsboro, and UPMC Cole.  Additionally, UPMC Williamsport operates its own hospital-based EMS service, Susquehanna Regional EMS, which responds to 911 emergencies and interfacility transfers.

The Trauma Center is staffed with in-house, board-certified trauma surgeons and a team of highly trained healthcare professionals to ensure that lifesaving care is available 24-hours a day. The Trauma Team is also supported by a full complement of subspecialty services whose multidisciplinary approach to trauma care allows us to improve outcomes and save lives.
