Crozer-Chester Medical Center (CCMC) is a university affiliated teaching hospital located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, and is the largest of four acute care hospitals of the Crozer-Keystone Health System. The Crozer-Keystone Health System provides acute care, rehabilitative care, behavioral health care, and community health care services. CCMC, a level 2 trauma center, was one of the first nine trauma centers accredited by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation (PTSF) in 1986 and in 2011 proudly celebrated its’ 25th Anniversary as Delaware County’s trauma center. CCMC has also served as the region’s burn center since 1972 and will celebrate its’ 40th Anniversary in 2012. It is a verified Burn Center by the American Burn Association since 2000. The trauma center serves a primarily urban population of approximately 558,000 people who reside within Delaware County and Chester Counties and nearby areas of Delaware State and New Jersey State, serving more than 2,500 critically injured patients annually.
