Past Board Chair
Meg Ashton, RN, BSN, MHA, CEN currently serves on the PTSF Board of Directors as a representative of the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association (PSNA).
Currently, Meg is the Trauma Program Manager at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA—a level two, adult trauma program.
With over 35 years nursing experience Meg has worked in a variety of clinical and administrative positions including Manager of the Emergency Department, Nursing Director and Risk Management Coordinator prior to joining the Trauma Department.
Meg serves on the PTSF Standards Committee (since 2007), as well as the HAP-SATC Trauma Value Workgroup.
Meg graduated from Thomas Jefferson Hospital School of Nursing, received a BSN from LaSalle University and a Masters in Human Services Administration from Rider University.
From 2011 until 2013 Meg served on the Executive Council of the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania, Section of Accredited Trauma Centers. In addition, she is a member of the Pennsylvania Trauma Nurses Consortium, the Society of Trauma Nurses, the Emergency Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association and the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association.
