Jo Ann Miller is the Trauma Program Manager at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. Prior to the Trauma Program Manager role, Jo Ann was first a critical care bedside nurse for 13 years. After completion of her BSN, she became a Trauma Case Manager, which was a combination role of case management and performance improvement activities. After eight years as a Trauma Case Manager, Jo Ann assumed the role of Trauma Program Manager. Her special interests include performance improvement and education with a specific focus on geriatrics and hemorrhagic shock/massive transfusion.
Jo Ann is a diploma graduate of the Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing (now known as the Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences). She obtained her BSN from Immaculata University and most recently completed her MSN with FNP certification at Millersville University. Future professional opportunities are to continue to be in a leadership position to enhance and contribute to the growth of the trauma program at Lancaster General and secondly to obtain her post graduate certification in adult gerontology acute care.
Jo Ann represents the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association on the PTSF Board of Directors.
