Dr. Jack Jallo, MD, PhD, FACS joined the Foundation Board of Directors as the Pennsylvania Medical Society/Pennsylvania Neurosurgical Society designee. Dr. Jallo is the Director for the Division of Neurotrauma and Critical Care for the Department of Neurological Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University (TJU), a level one adult trauma center. Dr. Jallo also serves as Vice Chairman for Academic Services for the Department of Neurological Surgery at TJU. He also serves as Interim Director of Critical Care Services for Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (TJUH). He is a TJU professor for the Department of Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Jallo worked previously for Temple University School of Medicine. During his tenure he served as Director of Neurosurgical Intensive Care, Director of Functional Neurosurgery for the Department of Neurosurgery, and as Residency Program Director for the Department of Neurosurgery. Dr. Jallo brings a wealth of clinical expertise to the board.
He completed his undergraduate and medical degrees from George Washington University. His Neurosurgery Residency and Neurotrauma/Critical Care Fellowship were completed at Temple University Hospital, where he later completed his PhD in Physiology.
Dr. Jallo is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. He is a member of several professional and scientific organizations; he has numerous research publications, awards and honors to his credit.
