David W. Scaff represents the Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED) on the PTSF Board of Directors.
His interests are in trauma center development and rural trauma care, having been a Vice Chief of Surgery, Med Executive Officer and founding Trauma Program Director at Pennsylvania’s oldest Level III trauma center. He also serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Larksview Foundation, which provides medical care and health education to people with limited access.
Dr. Scaff completed his fellowship in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 2005. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, Society of Critical Care Medicine, and American Trauma Society. He has numerous trauma related publications and presentations.
