David W. Scaff currently serves on the PTSF Board as a representative of the Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED).
Dr. Scaff is the Medical Director of Trauma at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Pocono, East Stroudsburg, PA and is on staff at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. His faculty appointments have included: Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery for both The Commonwealth Medical College, Scranton, PA, and Penn State College of Medicine, Hershey, PA. He completed his Trauma/Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. He has also furthered his education by obtaining his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, focusing on the economics of health care delivery.
Dr. Scaff is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, Society of Critical Care Medicine, and American Trauma Society. Dr. Scaff has numerous trauma related publications and presentations. He also serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Larksview Foundation, which provides medical care and health education to people with limited access.
