Standards of Accreditation
The Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation (PTSF) “Standards of Accreditation” were approved by the Board of Directors December 8, 2011. The 2012 “Standards” are in effect as of October 1, 2012.
Changes to the adult standards (level I, II & III), (level IV), and the pediatric standards (level I & II) reflect the work of the PTSF Standards Committee, the Rural Trauma Committee and the Pediatric Committee.
Future changes and/or clarifications of “Standards” will be posted to this section of the website.
As mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the PTSF will at a minimum, meet the ACS standards.
